A collaborative, international group of researchers from HKUST and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, united in advancing sustainable solutions through environmental biotechnology, waste valorization, and cutting-edge technologies.
Our research group spans two world-class institutions—HKUST in Hong Kong and UH Mānoa in Hawaiʻi— bringing together diverse perspectives, expertise, and dedication to solving critical environmental challenges.
Under my leadership, our group tackles complex environmental challenges through interdisciplinary research in anaerobic digestion, nanobubble technology, aquaponics, machine learning, and waste-to-resources systems. We foster a collaborative environment where graduate students, postdocs, and visiting scholars work together to develop sustainable, scalable solutions for a cleaner future.
Meet The Principal InvestigatorResearcH Assistant Professor, Postdoctoral researchers, Ph.D. and MPhil students at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology working on advanced biotechnology research.
